HOW LONG DOES SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP LAST?
Depending on your skin, health and if you come for touchup refreshers, your tattoo will last from 2-5 years (for lip blush & ombre brows) and 9month - 2 years for Microblading.
Here are some factors will cause your semi-permanent tattoo to fade faster:
Oily skin
Retinol or Vitamin C
Iron deficiency
Sun exposure
Exfoliants
Exposure to salt water
DOES SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP HURT?
It is slightly uncomfortable but completely bearable. The tattooing process typically lasts between 1-2 hours. I use a topical numbing cream and my technique is extremely gentle. If you are nervous about pain, you may take 1-2 Paracetamol 30 minutes before your appointment. DO NOT take Asprin or drink a coffee before your appointment. Coffee and Aspirin will cause you to bleed lots and also make you more sensitive during the procedure.
CAN I GET LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE DARK/COOL TONED LIPS?
Yes, however, on the first session we will have to colour correct your lips to cancel out the cool tones. This means the initial colour we tattoo MUST be orange! If we are to tattoo any other colour you risk darkening your lips further or having absolutely no results at all. When healed at 6 weeks, most if not all of the darkness in your lips will be covered and your lips will have a nudey-pink even tone. Note that results cannot be guaranteed and lightening or evening out dark lips may take a few sessions.
Please see our page on Dark Lips for more info on this treatment.
CAN I HAVE LIP BLUSH IF I HAVE HAD LIP FILLER
Yes! in no way does having Lip filler interfere with the process of tattooing lips or the results however they must be at least 4 weeks apart.
AM I ABLE TO HAVE SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP?
You may NOT have this procedure if :

You are taking medications that may affect how your skin responds to blood clotting and healing

DO I GET TO CHOOSE MY BROW SHAPE?
Clients are more than welcome to bring in reference photos of their ideal brow goals, as well as fill them in with makeup the way they want/typically wear them. Otherwise, brow shape is designed based on client’s measured facial features in combination with my professional opinion. We will not begin the actual procedure until client is in 100% agreement with the final mapped out design. Please Note that I have the right to refuse service to any client with unreasonable or unrealistic requests and/or expectations.
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE THE COLOUR?
Pigment colour is primarily chosen based on a client’s natural brow hair colour and skin undertones. During your appointment, we will analyse your skin's undertone to anticipate how pigment colors will fade in the future. We then mix pigments accordingly to ensure colour blends well and matches your hair and natural eyebrow colour as closely as possible. The majority of our clients' cosmetic tattoos stay true to colour and lighten naturally over time. There are some cases, however, where colours may fade to different tones according to the individual’s response to the pigments (variables such as lifestyle factors and iron deficiencies can alter pigment tones). At your follow up “perfecting” session appointment, we will analyse how your body has responded to the initial color and modify accordingly, if necessary.
WHAT ARE YOUR SAFETY PRECAUTIONS?
I take great pride in having an immaculate and sterile studio space. I only use sterile, single-use, surgical-grade, stainless steel tools, which are safely discarded in a Sharps needle container after each appointment. Implements such as wipes, gauze, cotton swabs, gloves etc. are also single-use and disposed of after each client. Gloves are worn at all times during the procedure. My workstation is thoroughly disinfected before opening and after each procedure throughout the day.
CAN I STILL WEAR BROW MAKEUP AFTER HAVING MY EYEBROWS DONE?
That’s up to you! After 2 weeks following your initial procedure, you are free to fill in your brows as normal (as they will appear lighter, or even “disappear”) until your perfecting session. Most clients love how natural the brows look completely healed after both sessions, and find them perfect for a fresh face or minimal day makeup. However, some clients who wear more dramatic makeup or prefer a super-bold brow, may opt to use their microblading / tattoo as a guideline for filling in an extra defined brow.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
An appointment can be rescheduled if more than 48 hours notice is given. If your appointment is canceled less than 48 hours beforehand, a 50% service fee (up to £50) will be charged, if this is not paid your account will be blocked and you will no longer be able to book in at Studio Brows. If you are more than 15 minutes late, or don’t show for your appointment, 100% of the service fee will be charged. Multiple no shows or late cancelations will result in a discontinuation of services.
